NRA Range Safety officer |
This one day class teaches Range Safety Officer (RSO) roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, how to handle firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency. This class is conducted primarily within the clubhouse. A range may be used depending upon weather and availability to simulate conducting RSO activities in the range environment. Dress accordingly for the weather on day of class. Equipment required:
Eligibility Open to members. Participants must be 18 years old and have a valid NRA membership if they will be pursuing certification by the NRA. Members may request a refund of class fee upon rendering 40 hours of RSO support to events held at the club. Participation is verified through match director reports. Fees
